If your using an iTero scanner we prefer to receive the .STL file with low profile base and teeth orientated up as per picture below. This makes for a seamless and beautiful print for the best quality wire.

No troubles at all. Just send an enquiry through the contact page and we can arrange for pick up of standard plaster models. This can make turn around time slightly longer depending on your area.

In most cases we can have the wires made and sent back within 7 days. If this will not be the case, we will always contact the practice asap with this information. Please feel free to contact us if you need a fast turn around as this can be arranged in most cases.

Being stainless steel, these wires are incredibly durable. The main issue we see with fixed bonded retainers, is failure of the resin. We sometimes observe that it can chip or break.

In most cases they can be fixed quite simply by removing old resin and replacing.

All mouths are different, as we know, but with good care and informed patients, these wires will last well.

Provided below is a photo of one solution to place upper wires using floss. Each practitioner will find their own unique way of placing these, but if you’re new to it please feel free to try this.

I will provide putty keys for both wires but believe a better fit is achieved with floss placement, especially for upper wires.
